ABOUT
The Annual Hermanus Girls Camp is an extension of the Annual Hermanus Camp (AHC)- the Boys’ Camp- that has been running for 111 years!
The Girls’ Camp was established in 2009.
The camp is styled on Scouting traditions with a Christian ethos. It takes place on the banks of the Hermanus lagoon- a picturesque setting that allows for a wide range of outdoor activities including canoeing, sailing, swimming and hiking.
The Girls’ Camp runs for four days, and overlaps with the Boys’ Camp. We usually start the Camp immediately following the Boys’ Camp Family Day.

The camp welcomes girls between the ages of 11 and 16. Additionally, our junior leaders, affectionately known as „Backstreeters” (aged 17 and up) are selected from returning campers. They play a vital role in assisting the core of adults in organising and leading the camp.

The camp offers a range of exciting and challenging outdoor expeditions, as well as other activities aimed at developing team building skills and providing opportunities for girls to explore their creative sides.
